Holiday Photos
I’ve spent all morning trying to organize my holiday photos. Why is this so difficult? From multiple sources to multiple services, nobody plays nice with each other.
I’m a believer in keeping my photos in one central, organized location and then posting them out to everyone. So, being a mac fan boy, my natural inclination is to use iPhoto as my main location. Which, in theory, makes it easy to then publish out to Flickr and/or Facebook but it’s not.
Here’s where it gets complicated. As the holidays were happening, I was posting random photos to Facebook. So, these photos were already in some sort of album already published. I also had photos that I had been taking all along from my iPhone which were in my photo stream and which also get auto-dumped into a generic monthly events folder in iPhoto as well. Lastly, I had photos that I had from my mom’s point & shoot camera that I had imported into my photo stream library so they’d be waiting on my personal computer when I got home. This all makes for one messy clean up.
I thought this was supposed to be easy. How do you organize & distribute?
Merry Christmas!
- Jameson: So which religion are you celebrating this year?
- Michael: Michaelhillism.
- Jameson: Yea.... I don't give gifts for that religion!!
- Michael: You do not give gifts anyway.
- Jameson: Do ya'll have kook-aid like Jonestown??
Being a geek, I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t think of this.
Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Easter 2011 Vacation Slideshow
Before the photos go up on Facebook, I had to post the obligatory iPhoto slideshow. If you want to see the photos in all their glory, feel free to download. It’s pretty large, but you get the full effect :)
We traveled to Savannah, GA and then on to Jacksonville, FL for a night. We ended up at the Amelia Island Plantation in Fernandina Beach, FL, which was a fantastic resort. I highly recommend it.

THE DIGITAL STORY OF NATIVITY
A little late after Christmas but still an awesome video.
What if the story of the birth of Jesus happened with today’s technology?
And the story behind it:
